Saturday, July 9, 2011. Nik and I did our first Warrior Dash on June 26 in Amesbury, Mass. It was an unusual challenge, because neither of us is much of a fan of trail running. Give me solid ground any day. Over the two days of Warrior Dashing, about 15,000 people tromped through the woods, got messy, slopped mud all over the obstacles, and stunk up the joint. Though mostly I got stuck in mud.
Back in January I made the decision to get serious about my training again. It was time to work towards a goal and put everything into it. Since then, without as much effort as I would have expected, I have gotten in almost every workout and I have given each of them the focus they needed. After almost two years of struggling with my training, what changed? That is simple. I got my mind right. 2 Be nice to yourself.

Nånstans mitt i livet och försöker hitta någon slags balans mellan arbete, träning och övrigt en kan ta sig för i livet. Ibland går det bäst och ibland går det sämre. Jag jobbar fortfarande med mitt självförtroende inom träning, men med bland annat Lidingöloppet och Vätternrundan i bagaget blir det betydligt lättare. Även om jag idag också kan ge upp alldeles för lätt när en övning eller pass känns alldeles för tungt.
